This Privacy Policy applies to the Cleanbit mobile application (the "App"), which provides device storage cleaning services including junk file removal, cache cleaning, duplicate file detection, and large file management. We are committed to protecting user privacy and processing data responsibly in compliance with applicable data protection laws and Google Play policies.
The App is designed to collect as little information as possible. We only process data necessary to provide core cleaning functions.
Storage and File Metadata
To perform scanning and cleaning, the App accesses file names, sizes, types, locations, and modification dates. This processing happens locally on your device only. No file content or personal data is uploaded or stored on external servers.
Device and Usage Information
We collect non-personal information such as device model, Android version, app usage behavior, scan history, and crash logs. This data is used to improve app stability, performance, and compatibility.
Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, messages, photos, browsing history, location data, or any sensitive personal information.
android.permission.MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
This permission is required for the App to scan all directories on the device to identify and clean junk files, residual files, cache, duplicate files, and large unused files. Standard media permissions cannot access app-specific caches, hidden folders, or miscellaneous residual data, so this permission is essential and cannot be replaced. This permission is used exclusively for local storage cleaning and no data is transmitted from the device.
Other permissions (Internet, network state) are used only for app stability, analytics, and service improvement with anonymous data.
We do not sell, rent, or share any personal or user data with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes. Anonymous, aggregated usage data may be shared with limited analytics services solely to improve app functionality and performance.
We may disclose information only if required by law, legal process, or to protect the security and rights of users and the public.
All file scanning and analysis are performed locally on the device. No user files or private data are transmitted externally. We implement reasonable security measures to protect any non-personal data from unauthorized access.
You may decline storage permissions, although core cleaning features will be limited. You may stop all data collection by uninstalling the App at any time.
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be posted within the App. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
